Oil testing is an integral part of any predictive maintenance program. High Voltage Equipment Diagnostics Inc. uses the latest test methods available to determine equipment condition. Through different services we have access to the latest test methods and analysis rules available today. Available are all of the standard recognized tests methods, supported by a panel of experts in the field, and also a microscopy service to determine unknown particles and deposits. By analyzing a particular test singly and then by unit manufacturer and size a "normal operating zone" is better realized. Also incorporated in the diagnostics of oil samples is state-of-the-art software to trend and better understand any given number of samples for a unit or manufacturer. There are new test methods in place to determine the condition for transformers, load tap changers, oil circuit breakers, and SF6 equipment. By combining this technology with Acoustics, Vibration, Infrared, and others we are better able to screen out any "false positives" and more accurately identify the equipment that really does have problems.
